Mr. Khalid Iqbal Khattak is a development consultant with around 23 years of diversified experience of working with ADB, UNDP, IFAD, EU and USAID-funded multi-sectoral projects. His long association with the development sector in Pakistan provided him ample opportunities to understand the dynamics of human development and issues hampering its effective development. Mr. Khattak started his career with Gallup Pakistan, a leading survey and public opinion company. He is a leading DRR consultant in the country and conducted a number of training programmes for UNDP and other INGOs on DRR, CBDRM, M&E in humanitarian context, Disaster Risk Assessment, Gender Mainstreaming in DRR, Emergency Needs Assessment and Sphere & HAP standards. Mr. Khattak has good skills in research methodologies both qualitative and quantitative. He has supervised a number of KAP studies, evaluations and needs assessments during his job. As an independent consultant, he has conducted end project evaluation of TDH (a German donor agency) funded Early Recovery Project in District Jafarabad and Diakonie Katastrophenhilfe (DKH) funded Sustainable Livelihood Project in District Rajan He has conducted VCA Analysis for AHD/DKH in District Charsadda and based on the VCA developed CBDRM Plans for the organization. He has also developed toolkits and manuals on WASH, DRR, Peace and Resilience. Mr. Khattak also led the team, who developed the firstever, Inclusive District Disaster Management Plan for District Government Sujawal, Sindh.
