Expertise: Community development, Capacity building and Sustainable development with a special focus on youth inclusion

With over 25 years of experience, Abdul Rab is an accomplished senior International development professional. He has served with different International Foundations, Donors, INGOs and national NGOs in senior management, technical, operational and advisory roles and overseen multiple portfolios of medium to large-scale projects in Asia and MENA region with a special geographic focus on Philippines, Nepal, Bangladesh, Yemen, Iraq, Qatar & Indonesia. Besides managing Internal programs, Abdul Rab has played an instrumental role in designing & delivering different grassroots and professional capacity-building and training programs for NGOs, developed & managed Youth Internship programs, authored partnership development strategies and mentored a Youth advisory group for the MENA region to take humanitarian initiatives. Abdul Rab has been a lifetime professional member of HRDN since 2002 and has served on the BOD of different national NGOs in Pakistan and is a lead evaluator of the Unfunded List. He enjoys a deeper understanding of working with change-makers across the global south and is deeply passionate about youth development, education & poverty alleviation solutions for sustainable development. His thematic areas of interest are youth inclusion, community development, capacity building and sustainable development.
