IUCN World Conservation Congress 2025

The World Conservation Congress 2025, held in Abu Dhabi from 9 to 15 October 2025, brought together global conservation leaders, policymakers, and organizations to shape the future of environmental sustainability. HRDN actively participated throughout the seven-day event, demonstrating its strong commitment to global conservation and sustainable development.

The Congress featured Members’ Assembly sessions, key conservation motion voting, networking events, and knowledge-sharing platforms. HRDN’s Chairperson, Dr. Roomi Hayat, actively engaged in important discussions, dialogues with global leaders, and sessions at the Asia Pavilion and Learning Zone, sharing a vision for a resilient and nature-positive future.

A special session highlighted Pakistan’s conservation successes and local initiatives contributing to global sustainability goals. The Congress concluded on 15 October 2025 with final voting and elections, setting the future course for conservation efforts and reinforcing collective global commitment to protecting the planet.
