Imran Ayub

Imran Ayub is a disaster risk management and programme coordination professional with more than a decade of experience working with government institutions, the UN system and development partners. His work has focused on disaster risk reduction, mitigation and preparedness, emergency response coordination, and programme implementation support. He has extensive experience supporting government-led initiatives related to mainstreaming disaster risk reduction into development planning, including work on building codes, land use planning, fire safety, and structural and non-structural risk reduction measures. He has contributed to the development and coordination of national and sector-specific disaster risk management plans and has supported inter-ministerial and multi-stakeholder coordination mechanisms. His background includes programme coordination, monitoring and reporting, administrative and financial management, and liaison with donors and implementing partners. He has supported emergency operations during major disasters, worked in emergency coordination centers, and contributed to relief, logistics, and field-level monitoring activities. His experience combines technical support, operational coordination and institutional processes, with a strong focus on effective implementation and compliance with established procedures.
