Peace Building

Under its Peace Building core programme, Human Resource Development Network (HRDN) actively works to prevent and counter violent extremism by empowering youth as peace ambassadors within their communities.

Through initiatives like the Youth Engagement and Resilience Initiative (YERI), HRDN conducts capacity-building trainings that promote critical thinking, interfaith harmony, tolerance, and social cohesion. HRDN equips young people with practical tools to understand the root causes of extremism, counter hate narratives, and promote peaceful coexistence. The programme also strengthens digital literacy and online safety, enabling youth to responsibly engage in online spaces and report hate speech and violent content through innovative e-learning platforms.

Implemented with support from European Union, National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA), and United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), HRDN’s peace-building efforts contribute to building resilient, inclusive, and peaceful communities across Pakistan.
