HRDN played a key role at the 8th IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature) Asia Regional Conservation Forum (RCF) in Bangkok, Thailand, from September 3–5, 2024. The event brought together nearly 600 conservation leaders, including representatives from governments, non-governmental organizations, donors, partners, academia, and the private sector. Under the theme "Reimagining Conservation in Asia: A Nature Positive Future," the Forum aimed to assess conservation progress, revisit priority goals, and propose strategic directions to address environmental and biodiversity challenges over the next 20 years. Dr. Grethel Aguilar, Director General of IUCN, led an inspiring panel discussion on "Commissions in Action," followed by a forum dinner that strengthened connections and created lasting memories within the IUCN community.
