Ms. Robeela Bangash

Ms. Robeela Bangash is the Co-founder/CEO of HRDN. She has been a pioneer of various initiatives in human resources and community development. She has made her mark as renowned community development and capacity-building specialist with all segments of society across Pakistan since 1991. Her more than 30 years of rich experience is nourished by working directly with the communities at the grass root level across Pakistan since 1991 as a social entrepreneur to (1) alleviate poverty through collective management and community development and (2) enhance livelihoods and generate self-employability through capacity building and skill enhancement. She has closely worked with national and international donor communities in (1) managing various projects, and community development programmes (2) facilitating/ coordinating training and capacity-building initiatives through a cascade approach, and (3) designing and implementing advocacy strategies for RSPs, IRM, I/NGOs and UN Agencies, Public sector and last but not the least Civil Society Organizations across Pakistan. She has authored various training Manuals and Modules and designed and developed training material especially the well-known first-ever Training Manual and Handbook on Community Management Skills Training (CMST) and Leadership and Management Skills Training (LMST) for NRSP/IRM in 1990-1995. She has conducted, coordinated, and facilitated countless TNAs, ToTs, training events, and capacity-building initiatives. She has done report writing, conducted Baseline surveys, Social Audits, Assessments, research, MTRs, Project Completion Missions, and Monitoring & Evaluations Missions, of different community development initiatives mostly for UN Agencies. These all are the areas that fall under her expertise. As International Social Mobilization and Capacity Development Advisor by World Bank for MoE Afghanistan in 2013-2014 she got the opportunity to coordinate with various donors and ministries to manage and strengthen social mobilization and capacity development initiatives, processes, and procedures with a gender lens. The first-ever international Conference for EQUIP/MoE (World Bank) Afghanistan was her success at the international level.  The first ever HRD Congress of Development Sector in 2003 as well as subsequent national events and international events from HRDN platform were initiated and coordinated by her. Under her accomplishment is the first ever high profiled /high end two days event “Young Women Leadership Conference-YWLC” to commemorate Women’s Day 2019 at Awane- Sadar, representing 157 Districts of Pakistan. This was highly appreciated by the President of Pakistan Mrs. Alvi as Chief Guest/ First Lady, Deputy speaker, and Parliamentarians at National Assembly. The event was aimed at engaging Youth especially girls as change agents in addressing SDGs. She is also in various working groups/committees of different organizations and member of IUCN Executive Committee and Pakistan National Committee.
